Lach Mhara

A modern, sea front cottage at Kilnaughton Bay, just metres from the Carraig Fhada lighthouse. Lach Mhara is an upside-down house – designed to give the best views of the bay and the lighthouse from the upstairs open plan living space, with three bedrooms (one convertible to a living room) and two bathrooms downstairs.

On the renowned isle of malts you’ll find, beaches, mountains, coastal villages, ten distilleries, a brewery and some of the friendliest people in the world.

At Lach Mhara, enjoy a dram by the sea, a walk to the beach or some local wildlife all from the front door. Kilnaughton Bay is a beautiful part of Islay with sandy beaches, clear waters and plentiful wildlife including many sea birds, otters, wild goats and, if you’re lucky, seals and even dolphins on occasion. The Oa itself is home to an RSPB Reserve and sees many birds of prey including eagles.
